Conditions Governing the Return, Exchange, or Refund of Products Purchased Online


Millenium Micro Group is a company offering services to its affiliated merchants; such services include the provision of an e-commerce infrastructure. Millenium Micro Group is a company legally independent from your affiliated merchant Group Millenium Micro (this affiliated merchant being referred to hereinafter as “Your Merchant”), which is the entity with which you are doing business.

Your Merchant’s primary objective is to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. Should that turn out not to be the case, Your Merchant will take action subject to the conditions presented herein. You should know that some manufacturers have their own return policy (specific to each manufacturer) and that their products cannot be returned to Your Merchant.

Certain products must be returned by mail, courier service, or other means. Some manufacturers will offer exchange while others will offer a repair. The processing varies from one manufacturer to the other.

It should be stated, at the outset, that your purchase is made from Your Merchant, not from Millenium Micro Group, which is a distinct company. Millenium Micro Group is therefore not involved in case of cancellation, return, etc.

 

Damaged shipping box

If you selected the desired delivery method yourself, Your Merchant’s liability ends as of the moment your package is handed over to your carrier.

If Your Merchant has assumed delivery and you receive a damaged shipping box, please refuse the delivery immediately. If you accept delivery and one or more items have been damaged during shipping, Your Merchant will unfortunately not be able to refund you or exchange the product(s), and will be exempt from any claim in these circumstances.

 

Wrong product

When you receive your package, you are requested to examine such package closely prior to opening the factory-sealed product packaging. If a product does not correspond to the product you ordered, which is indicated on your invoice, Your Merchant will be pleased to exchange or refund it within fifteen (15) days of receiving your order.

 

Defective on arrival (Dead on Arrival – DOA) product

If the product you received does not work properly on arrival (referred to as a “Dead on Arrival” or DOA product), please contact Your Merchant’s technical assistance department promptly (within fifteen (15) business days of receiving your order) in order to get a diagnosis or to request a product return.

 

Minimum technical requirements and incompatibility between components

It is important to ensure that you meet the minimum technical requirements to ensure the functionality of each product you wish to acquire BEFORE you make your purchase. Whenever possible, the transactional website will indicate the minimum technical requirements in the product description, but Your Merchant is not obligated to provide you with this information if you do not request it specifically. Before you make your purchase, you should consult the manufacturer’s website or check with Your Merchant; otherwise, there will be a risk of non-acceptance of a product return if the return request is made on the basis that the product does not meet the minimum technical requirements. It is your responsibility to check the minimum technical requirements before you make any purchase.

Your Merchant will accept no return of products on account of incompatibility with other products/components , should you decide to purchase such products/components without double checking their compatibility, or verifying their compatibility with Your Merchant.

 

Installation carried out by the customer

The installation by the customer of components purchased through this transactional website is carried out at the customer’s own risk. Your Merchant may not be held liable for any damage to the customer’s existing equipment caused by, but not limited to, an improper installation, defects, or any problems of incompatibility with components purchased through this transactional website when the customer installs such components himself. There will be no possible monetary or legal remedy for the customer in such case.

 

Product language

Some products are in a specific language. Your Merchant will accept no return of products on account of the product language. The websites boutique.milleniummicro.ca, shop.milleniummicro.ca, or the transactional website of Your Merchant on Millenium Micro Group’s transactional website integrated platform will indicate the product language whenever this information is available.

Some computers and portable devices come with English and French language options, and you will be prompted to set the operating language during first start-up. This choice is irrevocable. Your Merchant will accept no return of products on account of an incorrect choice of language at the first start-up.

 

Copyright protection

For copyright reasons, software products, computer games, console games, CDs, and DVDs must be returned in their original packaging, sealed and intact. Furthermore, defective software products, computer games, console games, CDs, or DVDs will be exchanged for the same product subject to availability.

 

Manufacturer warranties

When you purchase a product on the websites boutique.milleniummicro.ca, shop.milleniummicro.ca, or the transactional website of Your Merchant on Millenium Micro Group’s transactional website integrated platform, you are entitled to the warranties offered by the manufacturer of the product. Most of our major manufacturers’ policies require that you contact them directly for assistance by a specialist regarding their products. These manufacturers will repair or replace items according to their own policies. Please communicate with the manufacturer of the product for more details. Should you need help when communicating with a manufacturer, please contact Your Merchant’s technical assistance department.

Please note that Your Merchant disclaims any responsibility for any installation, update, use, or partial or complete limitation in functionality of software products.

 

Spare parts

Given the rapidly evolving technology, Your Merchant cannot warrant the availability of spare parts once the product’s warranty has expired.

 

Physical damage

Physical damage to any product will automatically void the warranty of the product. Permanent modifications or modifications not specifically permitted by the product documentation are considered physical damage.

 

Return of merchandise

To receive your return merchandise authorization (RMA), you must contact Your Merchant by phone at (514) 664-2000

Returns and exchanges require your full name, address, and phone number for fraud detection and prevention purposes. A valid government-issued identification may be required in order to confirm the information provided.

Due to restrictions applied by providers or manufacturers, certain items in opened packages are not refundable, and any return of merchandise must be approved by Your Merchant. Shipping fees for the return of items must be prepaid.

IMPORTANT: Your Merchant will refuse any return of items without RMA or for which shipping fees are not prepaid.

 

Handling and return fees

Items eligible for a return or refund will be subject to a 25% handling and return fee and, if approved by Your Merchant, will be eligible for a credit, exchange, or refund. Due to price fluctuations of computer items, such items will be refunded at the price paid or the price at the time of the return if such price is lower.

 

Return in the same condition

Any returned product (whether defective or not) must be in the same condition as you received it, in its original packaging, with blank warranty cards, manuals, and any other item or accessory provided by the manufacturer.

IMPORTANT: Should a product not be returned with all its accessories, the return may be refused or the value of the missing materials may be deducted from the total credit amount.

 

Shipping and handling fees

Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. However, Your Merchant will be pleased to refund you shipping fees on the original order if the item is returned due to an error on its part or if it has determined that the product is defective.

 

Credit card charge back

For purchases paid by credit card, the same card used to make the purchase will be credited with the refund amount. Please allow us 5 to 7 business days in order for the credit to be approved and to allow Your Merchant time to receive and inspect the returned merchandise.
